The Dannhauser family
have been farming on the family farm since 1882. We have been
farming with cattle since 1885 and over this period have overcome
a lot of obstacles in breeding with these incredible animals.
We’ve also been grain
farming since 1900 and in 2005 J.H. Dannhauser was named grain
producer of the year and with that all grain farming was ended.
Farm size, about 7000ha
owned land and 4000ha hired land, which accommodates about 2500
commercial cattle (Mostly Afrisim & Simbra).
Currently the Dannahuser
family (Kobus, Johan & Bernard) are focusing on 100% cattle
breeding. From the breeding of bulls, threw to the weaning of
calves, calves to the feedlot and then the abattoir.
